Imagine living without electricity for over ten months and having access to water just once a week for three hours. That’s the reality for 200,000 people living in the besieged western side of Deir-Ez-Zor city in Syria, where people have been surviving on only bread and water.
Children are severely malnourished, some have died.
While we have secured approval for an emergency UN airlift to deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance, fierce clashes in the vicinity of the military airport have prevented the operation from proceeding. Families in Deir-Ez-Zor need aid now!
