UNHCR-Syria supporting IDPs

Aminah 9, plays in the old playground of a former summer camp that has now become a camp for internally displaced people, in Tartous, Syria. She comes here every day with her three siblings to have some fun.

Aminah’s family had been displaced from #Aleppo four years ago. They live now with other 423 families, over 2,000 people, mostly from Aleppo in this camp, which was opened in 2012 to help house the displaced by the war in #Syria. There are 6.6 million displaced people inside Syria. Of these, 1.74 million are in camps and collective centers. UNHCR and its partners are working to support as many as they can.
